Early Symptoms Of Arthritis -
Know The Facts

Early symptoms of arthritis may be subtle and far apart. Don’t ignore them, attend to your aches and pains straight away, eliminate the cause. Once they settle in, they are much harder to treat.

Common symptoms of arthritis start with

• occasional ache
• swelling
• stiffness, especially after a longer time without movement
• warmth in the joint indicating inflammation
• tenderness
• pain, especially with repetitive movements

There are two types of arthritis: osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. They both have certain characteristics pertinent to their kind. While rheumatoid arthritis involves small bones in hands and feet, osteoarthritis can affect any joint in the body: fingers, toes, knees, hips, lower back.

There is a tendency to turn a blind eye to mild aches and discomforts in the hope they’ll go away. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they pretend they do. Very sneaky! Before you know it, they are back with a vengeance. Let’s treat aches and pains with respect and give them due consideration. After all they are distress signals, a cry for help to let us know that there is something wrong.

Unless the arthritis is due to trauma, it always has a systemic undertone. Investigating your life style and diet can be very revealing as to the causes and possible arthritis cures.
